Revelaciones. De la serie JUNTARSE 140/30000

Interesado en lograr que el grabado pueda ser apreciado sin la presencia de marcos y vidrios que distancien al espectador, he aplicado distintos recursos expositivos, entre los que destaco la estructura del quipu andino, que durante la última década he utilizado, además, con el propósito de rescatar un formato dúctil y autóctono. En las obras que realizo incluyo nombres de indígenas víctimas de matanzas, o imágenes extraídas de fotos históricas, o escrituras asémicas que conforman una suerte de coro gráfico, u objetos de diversa índole mezclados con sogas, trenzas, telas impresas. Más que afirmar prefiero sugerir problemáticas. Revelaciones es un objeto gráfico que intenta generar preguntas. ¿Cuáles son las revelaciones? ¿Quién las manifiesta, y para qué? ¿Cómo decodificarlas y comprenderlas? ¿A quiénes van dirigidas? Signos, símbolos, pequeñas imágenes se entremezclan en un objeto por el que busco hacer un aporte a nuestra identidad americana. En épocas confusas, donde los discursos contrastan y decaen rápidamente, es preciso encontrar un hilo conductor que nos aglutine en pos del ansiado progreso. El grabado me permite multiplicar las imágenes, que, impresas sobre distintos soportes, utilizo combinando de distintas maneras. Rather than asserting I prefer to suggest problems. Revelations is a graphic object that tries to generate questions. What are the revelations? Who manifests them, and for what? How to decode and understand them? Who are they targeting? Signs, symbols, small images are intermingled into an object for which I seek to make a contribution to our American identity. In confusing times, where discourses quickly contrast and decay, it is necessary to find a guiding thread that unites us in pursuit of the desired progress. The printmaking allows me to multiply the images, which, printed on different supports, I use combining in different ways.
